Summary
The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Multi-Modality) performs complex procedures for the VA New Jersey Health Care System Imaging Service. The incumbents at this grade level are qualified to perform all types of CT/CTA procedures by following established protocols; and all types of specials/interventional procedures under the guidance of the IR Radiologists.Responsibilities
The majority of the time is spent performing CT/CTA and specials/interventional procedures on weekly/daily assignments. When routine PM's are scheduled for this equipment, the incumbent may be sent to the other campuses, until the units are available.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining current BLS certification.
The incumbent provides multi-modality coverage across campuses and is expected to perform:- All types of CT procedures dictated by service policy, utilizing current software upgrades, including cardiac, CTA, head, body, neck, chest, spine, extremity, CT guided biopsies, etc.
- All types of Special/ lnterventional procedures dictated by service policy and software upgrades, such as peripheral, visceral, body, head, extremities, and lnterventional studies, such as TIPS, Stent placements, Permcaths PICC's, PCN's etc.
- CT, Specials/lnterventional examinations are performed with and without the use of contrast materials.
- All types of Gen Rad and OR procedures as well when assigned to other modalities.
The incumbent integrates specific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care with useful diagnostic information for proper diagnosis and treatment.ِApply Now
